The importance of natural extraction for cosmetics
Today’s consumers are looking for naturally extracted cosmetics, and are keen to choose products that respect their health and the environment, where transparency is paramount.
In cosmetics and perfumery, you face several challenges:
- Offer extracts that preserve all the virtues of the plant (smell, benefits, etc.).
- Guaranteeing quality extraction using natural processes
- Reduce or eliminate the use of petrochemical solvents by opting for green solvents
- Extract the most complex molecules and essences using innovative extraction equipment

In the cosmetics sector
Thanks to our cosmetics extraction equipment and the SFE Process, the extracts obtained are stable and free from any trace of solvents. Highly concentrated, pure and rich in active compounds, these extracts from natural extraction for cosmetics enhance the efficacy of cosmetic creams by conferring various properties. What’s more, extraction without chemical solvents ensures exceptionally pure aromas and fragrances, faithful to the raw material.

In the perfume sector
Did you know that the olfactory profile of the extract depends on the extraction technology used? The use of scCO2 for extraction enables us to obtain fragrant extracts from fresh plants. With this extraction of natural fragrances using supercritical CO2 (scCO2), we obtain extracts under much lower energy expenditure and pollution conditions than those obtained using hexane or distillation, for example. What’s more,CO2 is inert and, unlike other solvents, does not require a second separation after extraction. This technology enables us to obtain CO₂ extracts with organoleptic properties as close as possible to those of natural raw materials. The low extraction temperature means that the olfactory properties of the extracts are not denatured, and therefore brings a certain purity to the extract, of high quality, difficult to find with other technologies, while meeting the requirements of the perfume industry thanks to innovation in perfume extraction. The fragrance is highly concentrated, and post-processing is reduced.
Cosmetic extraction
worldwide
Sourcers travel the world in search of new scents to incorporate into their natural fragrances, but find themselves faced with the problem of preservation. How do you ensure that the extract retains all its properties during its journey?
All our machines can be prepared for GMP, 21 CFR Part 11 certification.
